Bajaj Healthcare Gets DCGI Nod for Cenobamate API and Tablets

Bajaj Healthcare Limited has received approval from the Drug Controller General of India (DCGI) to manufacture and market Cenobamate API and Cenobamate Tablets in various strengths (12.5 mg to 200 mg). This makes Bajaj Healthcare the first company to launch Cenobamate in India. The approval follows a recommendation from the Subject Expert Committee (SEC) and strengthens the company's presence in the Central Nervous System (CNS) segment. Cenobamate is an antiseizure medication for partial-onset seizures in adults. The company highlights its integrated API and formulation capabilities and aims to make this advanced therapy available to patients in India, expecting it to drive long-term growth.
