Bajaj Healthcare gets SEC-CDSCO nod for Cenobamate Tablets

Bajaj Healthcare Limited has received a recommendation from the Subject Expert Committee (SEC) of the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO) for manufacturing and marketing of Cenobamate Tablets in various strengths (12.5mg to 200mg). This makes Bajaj Healthcare the first company in India to secure this recommendation for the next-generation antiseizure medication. Cenobamate is used for treating partial-onset seizures in adults. The company's Managing Director, Anil Jain, stated this is a significant regulatory milestone and reinforces their commitment to expanding their CNS therapies portfolio. Bajaj Healthcare plans to work with regulatory authorities for final approvals and commercialize the product, strengthening its position in specialty pharmaceuticals.
