Balaji Amines Commences DME Commercial Production

Balaji Amines Ltd has successfully commissioned its Dimethyl Ether (DME) production plant at Unit-IV in Solapur, Maharashtra, with commercial production starting May 20, 2026. The plant has a capacity of 1,00,000 TPA using advanced technology. Balaji Amines is the first Indian company to manufacture DME on a commercial scale, which can be blended with LPG as an alternative fuel. The company will initially focus on the aerosol industry and other commercial applications. Balaji Amines is also expanding into EV battery chemicals, leveraging existing plants for new-age chemicals in the EV battery segment, including Dimethyle Carbonate (DMC) and N-Methyl Pyrrolidone (NMP).
