Balu Forge Secures Multi-Month Contract for 155mm Shells

Balu Forge Industries Ltd (BFIL) has announced the receipt of a multi-month contract for 155mm Extended Range Full Bore – Base Bleed (ERFB BB) & Extended Range Full Bore - Boat Tail (ERFB BT) shells in the Defence Sector. This follows the successful commercialisation and execution of the first purchase order for this advanced ammunition variant from an Indian ammunition player. The initial supply will consist of 10,000 units, with subsequent monthly supplies to be agreed upon. This achievement positions BFIL as a key private entity in indigenising critical defence technologies and highlights its advanced forging and machining capabilities. The company is also expanding its defence consumables sector presence, having secured NATO certification and launched mass production of standard 152mm and 155mm M107 projectiles at its new automated facility in Belgaum.
