
Barak Valley Cements Subsidiary Receives Customized Incentives for Rs. 482 Crores Project
Barak Valley Cements Ltd. announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Valley Strong Cements (Assam) Limited, has received approval from the Department of Industries, Commerce and Public Enterprise, Government of Assam, for customized incentives under the Industrial and Investment Policy of Assam (IIPA), 2019 (as amended). The project involves a proposed investment of Rs. 482 crores, divided into two phases, for the establishment of a manufacturing unit with a capacity to produce 1600 TPD clinker (Phase I), 2000 TPD cement (Phase II). The customized incentives include SGST reimbursement, incentive for drawl of powerline, road infrastructure, power subsidy, interest subsidy on working capital loan, incentives for employment generation, entrepreneurship, stamp duty reimbursement, subsidy on generating set, assistance for environmental compliance, and technology transfer and quality certification.
