BEML LTD Secures Contract from Integral Coach Factory for High-Speed Rail Design and Manufacturing

BEML Limited has secured a contract from Integral Coach Factory (ICF), Chennai for designing and manufacturing high-speed rail. The contract, worth ₹8006.87 Crs, includes the design cost, one-time development cost, non-recurring charges, and one-time cost towards jigs, fixtures, tooling, and testing facilities. The trainsets, with a test speed of 280 kmph, will be built at BEML's Bengaluru rail coach complex and are scheduled for delivery by the end of 2026. This project marks a significant milestone in India's high-speed rail journey, reinforcing BEML's position as a leader in rolling stock manufacturing.
