BGR Energy Systems receives "30.65 Lac GST penalty order

BGR Energy Systems Ltd has received an order from the Office of the Joint Commissioner, Corporate Circle, Kanpur I, Uttar Pradesh, imposing an aggregate penalty of 30,65,591.26. The order, dated June 18, 2026, includes 15,32,795.63 in CGST penalty and 15,32,795.63 in SGST penalty. This penalty, issued under Section 122(2)(b) of the CGST/SGST Act, is in connection with the alleged suppression of turnover for the tax period from April 2019 to March 2020. The company has stated that there is no material financial impact at this stage and intends to appeal against the order.
