BCCL Apr 2026: Raw Coal Production down 41.3%; Offtake down 26.4%

Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) released its provisional monthly production performance for April 2026. Raw coal production significantly decreased by 41.3% year-on-year, totaling 1.99 million tonnes compared to 3.39 million tonnes in April 2025. Coking coal production also saw a substantial decline of 41.5% to 1.91 million tonnes, while non-coking coal production fell by 34.7% to 0.08 million tonnes. Production from opencast mines dropped by 42.3%, though underground mines recorded an 10.9% increase. Offtake of raw coal was down 26.4% to 2.26 million tonnes. Overburden removal experienced a sharp decline of 51.7%.
