BEL Secures Rs.1292 Crore Orders Including Rs.1034 Crore for SDR and DCT from Indian Coast Guard

Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a Navratna Defence Public Sector Undertaking, has signed a contract worth Rs.1,034 Crore (excluding taxes) with the Ministry of Defence for the supply of Software Defined Radios (SDR) and Data Communication Terminals (DCT) for the Indian Coast Guard. The state-of-the-art radios, developed jointly by DEAL (DRDO) and BEL, support multi-band, multi-channel, multi-role/mission operation for network-centric warfare. The DCT system enables secure and reliable communication between shore and ships for critical missions. Additionally, BEL has secured other orders worth Rs.258 Crore, bringing the total orders received during the current financial year to Rs.13,147 Crore.
