Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd. Novates HVDC Bhadla Fatehpour Contract Obligations to AESL Projects Limited
Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd. (BHEL) and Hitachi Energy India Limited (INHE), as a consortium, have executed a Novation Agreement dated 14th November, 2025, with Rajasthan Part | Power Transmission Limited (RPPTL) and AESL Projects Limited (APL). Through this agreement, APL has assumed all rights and obligations of RPPTL under the contracts pertaining to the High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) link project in Bhadla, Rajasthan, and Fatehpur, Uttar Pradesh. This novation ensures that all past, ongoing, and future rights, liabilities, obligations, and duties pertaining to the project, originally held by RPPTL, are now legally assumed by APL. All other terms and conditions of the project, including the scope of work, project schedule, and commercial terms, remain unchanged for the consortium.
