Airtel Awards Contracts to Nokia for 5G FWA Devices, Boosting High-Speed Internet Connectivity

Bharti Airtel has awarded a contract to Nokia, in collaboration with Qualcomm, to expand 5G Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) and Wi-Fi solutions. This initiative aims to facilitate high-speed internet access to millions across India, particularly in areas where fiber connectivity is scarce or challenging to implement. Nokia will supply Airtel with its 5G FWA outdoor gateway receiver and Wi-Fi 6 Access Point, utilizing Qualcomm Modem-RF and Wi-Fi 6 chipsets. This deployment will enable Airtel to offer superior broadband services and reduce connection expenses.
