Bharti Airtel to Acquire 400 MHz Spectrum from Adani Data Networks for $2.5 Billion

Bharti Airtel Limited and its subsidiary, Bharti Hexacom Limited, have entered into definitive agreements with Adani Data Networks Limited (ADNL), a subsidiary of Adani Enterprises, to acquire rights to use of 400 MHz of spectrum in the 26 GHz band in six telecom circles across India. The deal is valued at approximately $2.5 billion and is subject to standard conditions and statutory approvals. Airtel, a global communications solutions provider, is India's largest integrated communications solutions provider and the second largest mobile operator in Africa. Bharti Hexacom is a communications solutions provider offering consumer mobile services, fixed-line telephone and broadband services in the Rajasthan and the North East telecommunication circles in India.
