DGTR Recommends Anti-Dumping Duty on Chinese Glassware Imports

Borosil Ltd has received final findings from the Directorate General of Trade Remedies (DGTR) recommending the imposition of anti-dumping duty on Borosilicate Table and Kitchen Glassware imported from China PR. The DGTR concluded that goods from China were exported at dumped prices, with significant dumping margins. The company, as the sole domestic producer, was found to be materially retarded by these imports. The DGTR recommended a five-year anti-dumping duty, considering it not against public interest. This is viewed as a positive development for Borosil, aiming to create a more level playing field for its domestic business. The final notification is pending issuance by the Central Government.
