
Renovated Venkatappa Art Gallery Inaugurated: A New Era for Bengaluru's Cultural Heritage
The newly renovated Venkatappa Art Gallery was inaugurated by Shri. H K Patil, Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs and Legislation and Tourism, GoK. The initiative, undertaken by Brigade Foundation, marks a significant milestone in the preservation of Karnataka's artistic heritage. The renovation involved an extensive restoration process and updates to exhibition spaces and public amenities. Dedicated galleries now showcase Karnataka's celebrated artists K. Venkatappa and K.K. Hebbar. A state-of-the-art restoration room has been established for art conservation. Other additions include a modern cafeteria, a sculpture park, and accessibility upgrades. The revamped gallery is poised to function as a hub for artistic interaction and learning.
