Castrol India Appoints Saugata Basuray as Managing Director

Castrol India Limited's Board of Directors approved the appointment of Mr. Saugata Basuray as the Managing Director, effective June 1, 2026, for a term of five consecutive years. Mr. Basuray, currently the Whole-time Director & Interim Chief Executive Officer, has over 26 years of experience in sales, marketing, and business leadership within Castrol India, having joined as a Management Trainee in 1999. His career includes roles in India and abroad, leading Castrol Philippines and a joint venture in Indonesia, and driving a multi-year transformation program for the company's go-to-market model. The appointment is subject to shareholder and other statutory approvals.
