Centum Electronics Secures X78 Crore Order from HAL for AESA Radar System Development

Centum Electronics Limited has received an order from Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) for the design and development of Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) Radar System for the Utility Helicopter — Maritime (UH-M) programme. The Phase-1 order, worth X66 crore (gross value of X78 crore, inclusive of GST), is to be executed over the next two financial years. Upon successful execution, the programme is expected to progress to Phase-2, which involves the serial production and delivery of AESA radar systems over five years, with an indicative value of ~X500 crores (gross value of ~X590 crores, inclusive of GST). This order marks a significant milestone for Centum, underscoring its growing role in the development of advanced, indigenous defence electronics systems.
