Cochin Minerals gets Kerala HC stay on ₹120.26 Cr tax dispute

Cochin Minerals & Rutiles Ltd has received a stay order from the Honourable High Court of Kerala on September 25, 2026. This stay is in connection with a Show Cause Notice issued by the Additional Commissioner (AUDIT) Audit Commissionerate, Kochi. The dispute pertains to the HSN classification of products for the financial years 2020-21 to 2023-24, involving a tax amount of ₹120.26 crores. The company had filed a writ petition challenging the notice. The High Court has stayed the operation, implementation, and all further proceedings pursuant to the show cause notice.
