Dalmia Bharat Ltd. to Increase Capacities by 9.6 MnT in Kadapa and Chennai

Dalmia Bharat Ltd. announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Limited (DCBL), has approved proposals to increase clinker capacity by 3.6 MnT and cement capacity by 6.0 MnT in Kadapa, along with a bulk terminal capacity of 3.0 MnT at Chennai. This expansion will increase DCBL's cement capacity to 61.5 MnT and clinker capacity to 34.3 MnT. The investment required for this expansion is Rs. 3287 Cr, which will be financed through debt and internal accruals. The proposed capacity is expected to be added by Q2, FY 28. This expansion aims to cater to the underserved markets of Northern Tamil Nadu and strengthen the company's presence in Andhra Pradesh and Southern Karnataka markets.
