Davangere Sugar Company Plans to Maximize Ethanol Production from Maize in FY 2024-2025

Davangere Sugar Company Ltd. has announced its strategy to maximize Ethanol production during the Financial Year 2024-2025. The company plans to produce Ethanol primarily from maize and other damaged grains until the crushing season begins in October 2024. The company aims to procure larger quantities of maize from various regions across the country, benefiting from government policies encouraging Ethanol production from maize. The Sugar and Ethanol industry has seen a significant increase in grain-based Ethanol, contributing to approximately 51% of total Ethanol produced in the country in FY 2024-2025. The company is also strategically partnering with surrounding village farmers to help them receive higher sugarcane yields and enhance their commercial benefits.
