
Dee Development Engineers' Subsidiary Biomass Power Plant Tariff Revised by 49.3% by PSERC
Dee Development Engineers Ltd. announced a Press Release on 01 April 2026 regarding the Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission (PSERC) order to revise the tariff for the 6 MW biomass power plant of its wholly owned subsidiary, M/s Malwa Power Pvt. Ltd. (MPPL), for an extended term of 10 years upon expiry of the 20-year PPA period. The new tariff of ₹5.224 per kWh is substantially higher than the interim rate of ₹3.50 per kWh, representing an enhancement of approximately 49.3%. The Company is entitled to recover approximately ₹5.80 Crores for the period between May 2025 and February 2026. The MPPL's Biomass Pellet Plant is expected to commence commercial operations shortly, generating estimated revenue of approximately ₹23.40 Crores per annum.
