Eicher Motors Approves ₹1,225 Cr Greenfield Expansion in Andhra Pradesh

Eicher Motors Ltd's Board of Directors has approved an investment of ₹1,225 Crores for Phase I of a new greenfield expansion project in Andhra Pradesh. This expansion is a continuation of a previously announced plan and aims to add up to 4.5 Lakh motorcycles per year. The project is expected to be completed by FY 2029-30, bringing the total production capacity across all plants to approximately 24.5 Lakh motorcycles per year. The company's existing capacity of 15 Lakh motorcycles per year at its Tamil Nadu plants is nearing full utilization. The investment will be financed through internal accruals and is deemed necessary for the company's long-term growth prospects.
