EKI Energy Services Ltd. has registered and verified the first-ever Improved Biomass Cookstove Project in Asia under VERRA's Sustainable Development Verified Impact Standard (SD VISta). The project, which is the first of its kind in India and Asia, aims to produce significant environmental and community benefits while advancing Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The project will provide enhanced efficient cookstoves to rural and economically disadvantaged households across six states in India, creating livelihood opportunities and enabling household-level access to cleaner and efficient energy. This initiative will help mitigate climate change and uplift lives in India, where over 800 million people still use conventional mud stoves.
