Epic Energy JV Commences Trial Production at Second Life Battery Plant

Epic Energy Limited's joint venture, Swachcha Urja Nirman LLP (SUN LLP), has commenced trial production at its Second Life Battery Assembly Plant in Wada, Maharashtra, effective September 5, 2026. The facility repurposes retired lithium-ion batteries for energy storage systems, aligning with the company's circular economy and sustainability goals. Commercial production is slated for early October, with a ramp-up expected over subsequent quarters. SUN LLP anticipates commencing trial production at its associated Battery Recycling Plant by the end of September 2026, in partnership with CMET, Hyderabad. The Wada facility is equity-financed with zero debt and is projected to contribute positively to revenue from Q3 FY27, with margin improvements anticipated through FY27.
