Exicom India's First Liquid-Cooled EV Charger Module Maker
Exicom Tele-Systems has become the first Indian company to manufacture advanced liquid-cooled AC and DC power modules for EV chargers at its Hyderabad facility. This move aims to strengthen India's position as a global hub for technology manufacturing and is a key step in Exicom's product roadmap, focusing on high-value exports. The liquid cooling technology addresses thermal stress, a major cause of power electronics failure in EV chargers, by maintaining lower internal temperatures than air-cooled systems. Initially, these modules will serve North American and European markets, supporting Tritium's DC charger portfolio. Exicom plans to integrate this technology into its own Harmony DC chargers, creating a new export line. The company's acquisition of Tritium in 2024 deepens manufacturing and technology synergies.
