Future Consumer Ltd. NCLT Hearing Update: Resurgent India Special Situations Fund Case Rescheduled, Company to File Balance Sheets

The NCLT hearing against Future Consumer Ltd. by Resurgent India Special Situations Fund, initially scheduled for 16th January, 2026, was rescheduled to 23rd February, 2026 due to the judicial member's leave. The financial creditor's counsel submitted that the pleadings were completed and highlighted that the Company has filed an additional affidavit regarding a claim in arbitration proceedings. The claim of the financial creditor is reportedly much more than expected. The Hon’ble bench has directed the Company to file the balance sheets of the last 3 financial years, and the matter is listed for further hearing on 9th March, 2026.
