GAIL Board Approves Transfer of 6 CGD Areas to Subsidiary

GAIL India Ltd's Board of Directors has approved the transfer of six City Gas Distribution (CGD) Geographical Areas (Varanasi, Patna, Ranchi, East Singhbhum, Cuttack, and Khordha) to its wholly-owned subsidiary, GAIL Gas Ltd. This transfer will be executed through a Business Transfer Agreement on a going concern basis, with an effective date of January 1, 2027. The board meeting where this approval was granted commenced today, October 30, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. and concluded at 2:25 p.m.
