The incident occurred on November 16, 2025, and was caused by a third-party damage from a contract agency working inside Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers (RCF) premises without GAIL's knowledge. The damaged location was near the warning markers installed for the GAIL pipeline. The company isolated and depressurized the pipeline, and repaired the damaged section by cut and replacement. The repair activities commenced on November 16, 2025, and were completed on November 18, 2025. Gas supply to MGL Wadala CGS has since been normalized.
