GE Vernova T&D India Ltd Receives Order for Refurbishment of 2x 500 MW HVDC Chandrapur Link

GE Vernova T&D India Limited has received a Letter of Award dated December 17, 2025, from Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) for the refurbishment of the 2x 500 MW HVDC Chandrapur back-to-back link between the Northern and Southern parts of India. The scope of the project includes the upgrade of HVDC Thyristor Valves and HVDC Controls & Protection. The order is domestic, and the project is to be executed over a multiple-year period. The broad consideration or size of the order is the design, supply, and execution of the refurbishment of the 2x 500 MW HVDC Chandrapur back-to-back link.
