GE Vernova T&D India Ltd. to Add HVDC Line Commutated Converter Valves Capacity by Early 2027

GE Vernova T&D India Ltd. (formerly GE T&D India Ltd.) has approved a capacity addition of HVDC Line Commutated Converter Valves and Voltage Source Converters including STATCOM at Pallavaram (Chennai). The company will also set up a platform for integrating testing and supply of HVDC controls at Noida. This strategic investment of approximately 1400 MINR (USD 16 million) is aimed at meeting the growing demand for grid stability and renewable energy integration solutions across India and export markets. The facilities are expected to strengthen GE Vernova's supply chain for high-performance power electronics, supporting both domestic infrastructure projects and global export markets.
