GIC of India: Dr. Debasish Prusty Nominated as Director

General Insurance Corporation of India (GIC) has announced the nomination of Dr. Debasish Prusty as a Director on its Board, effective immediately. Dr. Prusty, an Additional Secretary in the Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance, replaces Shri Tapan Kumar Mondal. He is not related to existing directors and is not debarred from holding such a position. Dr. Prusty brings extensive experience in public finance, sustainable development, and international climate negotiations, holding advanced degrees and specialized training from institutions like IMF.
