GIC Re Appoints Divesh Sehara as Director (Govt. Nominee)

General Insurance Corporation of India (GIC Re) has announced the appointment of Shri Divesh Sehara as a Director (Government Nominee) on its Board. The appointment was made by the Ministry of Finance, Government of India, in exercise of powers under Article 75(ii) of the Corporation's Articles of Association. Shri Sehara, a 2005 batch IAS officer, currently serves as Joint Secretary in the Department of Financial Services. He replaces Shri Manoj Muttathil Ayyappan and his appointment is effective immediately until further orders. Shri Sehara is not related to any existing directors and is not debarred from holding a director's office.
