
GMR Airports Acquires 49.90% Stake in Delhi Duty Free Services for Rs. 183.22 Crore
GMR Airports Ltd has acquired 3,04,15,621 equity shares, representing 49.90% of the issued and paid-up share capital of its subsidiary company Delhi Duty Free Services Private Limited (DDFS) from Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) for a purchase consideration of Rs. 1,83,22,37,010. This acquisition increases GMR Airports' stake in DDFS to 66.93%. DDFS, incorporated in 2009, is primarily engaged in the development, operation, management, and maintenance of the Duty-Free Operations at the Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi. The revenue from operations of DDFS for FY 2025, 2024, and 2023 was Rs. 2,177.32 Crore, Rs. 1,940.98 Crore, and Rs. 1,541.83 Crore respectively. The acquisition is in line with the company's strategy to explore duty free business opportunities in India and abroad.
