Go Digit NCLT Allows Merger Scheme First Motion Application

Go Digit General Insurance Ltd has received an order from the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), Mumbai Bench, allowing its first motion application related to the Scheme of Amalgamation. The scheme involves the amalgamation of Go Digit Infoworks Services Private Limited (Transferor Company) with Go Digit General Insurance Limited (Transferee Company). The NCLT has directed the company to convene a meeting of its equity shareholders within 90 days of the order's upload to approve the scheme. The amalgamation aims to simplify the corporate structure, reduce administrative overheads, and enhance the company's capital infusion capabilities and growth objectives. The scheme is still subject to other regulatory approvals, including from IRDAI and shareholders.
