Godawari Power & Ispat Commences Production of Structural Steel & Synchronizes 20MW Solar Power Plant

Godawari Power & Ispat Ltd. has successfully completed the modification of its Rolling Mill at Urla Industrial Area, Raipur, Chhattisgarh, for the manufacture of Structural Steel. The company has started the production of Structural Steel, which will be partially used captively for the manufacture of Galvanized Fabricated products for supply to Government agencies. The company expects to get approvals from these agencies within the next 2-3 months. A separate line for the manufacture of Strips is in progress and expected to be completed soon. The company has also synchronized its 20 MW Captive Solar Plant for the electric power requirement of the Rolling Mill & Fabrication cum Galvanizing plant. The modification and replacement of the Rolling Mill has incurred a cost of approximately Rs 132 Crore from the internal accruals of the company.
