
GNEPL signs supply agreement for 5 Mwh DC Block BESS components
Godawari New Energy Private Limited (GNEPL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Godawari Power and Ispat Ltd, has executed a supply agreement with Shanghai Shenyi Roche Energy Technology Limited (Roche Energy) from China. This agreement is for the supply of Balance of System for a 5 Mwh DC Block on a CKD basis, intended for the first phase of GNEPL's 20 GWII Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) plant in Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra. The deal ensures a stable, reliable, and cost-effective supply chain, crucial for GNEPL's BESS manufacturing. Roche Energy specializes in BESS product design, manufacturing, and technology support. The signed agreement was received on April 23, 2026, marking a significant milestone for GNEPL's BESS project.
