Godawari Power & Ispat's Steel Billets Approved by Power Grid Corp, Enabling Cost Savings in Galvanized Steel Structures Manufacturing

Godawari Power & Ispat Ltd. has announced that their Steel Billets (IS 14650 CPS 2062/E250A as per 1S14650) have been approved by Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) vide its letter dated 05.02.2025. This approval makes the company eligible to supply Steel Billets to all manufacturers of Galvanized Steel Structures for the transmission projects of PGCIL. Godawari Power & Ispat is already manufacturing Galvanized Fabricated Steel Structures, and this new development will lead to considerable cost savings as they will now use their own Steel Billets for manufacturing Galvanized Steel Structures. The company is currently the only one in India to manufacture Galvanized Steel Structures from iron ore to finished product.
