Gokak Textiles Ltd Announces Fire Incident Update at Solar Power Plant with 30.8MW Generation

Gokak Textiles Ltd has provided an update on the fire incident at its Solar Power Plant located in Gokak Falls, Belagavi district, Karnataka, India. The incident affected four blocks within the plant premises, with one invertor (2.5MW) in block 8 down. For safety reasons, feeders from block no. 7 and 8 were isolated immediately after the invertor blast. The actual damage amount is yet to be ascertained, and the insurance claim is yet to be made. The plant is currently generating 30.8MW, and with one invertor in block 8 cut in, the installed capacity will be 33.3MW. Revival steps in block 3 & 4 are in progress with an estimation of restoring to full capacity within a week.
