GNFC Awards Contract to Toyo Engineering for Ammonium Nitrate-II Plant Supply

Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers & Chemicals Ltd (GNFC) has awarded a contract to Toyo Engineering India Private Limited (Toyo) for the supply of an Ammonium Nitrate-II plant on LEPC basis. The contract is worth approximately Rs. 360 Crores and has a time period of 20 months. The plant will enhance GNFC's capacity by ~94% and support the Make in India campaign with a commitment to environment conservation. This decision follows the board's approval in November 2025 for the installation of an Ammonium Nitrate-II plant of 480 MTPD capacity, i.e. 1,683,200 MTPA. Toyo has a tie-up with INCRO, S. A., Spain for the supply of process knowhow and license for the Ammonium Nitrate-II plant.
