Gujarat Natural Resources Completes Third Development Well Despite Monsoon Delays

Gujarat Natural Resources Ltd (GNRL) has successfully completed its third development well, K13, in the Kanawara field, despite a two-month delay due to heavy monsoon. The well has encountered a 20-meter oil-bearing zone between depths of 1684 to 1704 meters. GNRL plans to carry out hydraulic fracturing on this well, aiming to commence commercial production by the first week of October 2025. The drilling rig is being mobilized to the fourth well location, with drilling expected to begin in the first week of October 2025. From October onwards, GNRL will operate two drilling rigs—one continuing operations in Kanawara, and the second commencing drilling of a 3000-meter deep well in the company’s wholly owned North Kathana field.
