GNRL & Subsidiary Successfully Discover Oil, Wet Gas in Drilling Campaign
Gujarat Natural Resources Ltd (GNRL) and its step-down subsidiary, GNRL Oil & Gas Limited (GOGL), have commenced a 7-well drilling campaign. In the K#12 well, GNRL successfully achieved both development and exploration objectives, encountering an oil layer in the EPIV section and a new wet gas layer in the younger Cambay Shale section. The wet gas layer is producing 18000 scmd of gas and 5m3 per day oil condensate. The areal extent of this new discovery is estimated to be 1.6 square kilometers with inplace Gas reserves of 40 MM cubic meters. GNRL has engaged 2 drilling rigs to drill simultaneously for the next few months. GNRL is an established upstream oil and gas operator for 5 small development fields in the prolific Cambay Basin.
