ZR2 Bioenergy Ltd Nears BOOT Agreement for Modern Biorefinery with Asia's Largest Cooperative Sugar Factory

ZR2 Bioenergy Ltd is on the brink of entering into a BOOT (Build-Own-Operate-Transfer) agreement with Padmashri Dr. Vitthal Rao Vikhe Patil Sahakari Sakhar Karkhana Ltd, Asia’s largest cooperative sugar factory based in Ahilyanagar District Maharashtra. The biorefinery, which will be one of the most modern in India, will include an Ethanol Plant, Biogas Plant, Distillery Plant, Extra Neutral Alcohol (ENA) Plant, Multi Effect Evaporator (MEE) Plant, RO Plant, Feedstock and Finished Product Storage Tanks. ZR2 Bioenergy Ltd will build, own, and operate the biorefinery for a 15 + 14-year (extendable) tenure. The agreement is awaiting final approval from the Maharashtra State Government, with the final execution expected by June 2025. The biorefinery will undergo capacity expansion and modernization under ZR2 Bioenergy's management.
