HCL Infosystems Reports Q1 FY27 Loss of ₹16.68 Cr, Revenue Down

HCL Infosystems Limited announced its unaudited financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2026. Revenue for the quarter stood at ₹417.55 Lakhs, a decrease from ₹528.20 Lakhs in the previous quarter, primarily due to one-time revenue recognition from a defense project change request and another customer in the prior period. The company reported a Loss Before Tax (PBT) of ₹1668.08 Lakhs, which is higher than the ₹1316.72 Lakhs loss in the previous quarter. The increased loss was attributed to the absence of interest on tax refunds and writebacks of vendor balances in the current quarter. The company continues to focus on expediting tax refund collections and recovering long-overdue receivables through arbitration. Legal, professional, and consultancy expenses amounted to ₹601.70 Lakhs. A significant positive development was the Supreme Court's dismissal of an income tax appeal, quashing a demand of ₹1,490 lakhs. The company also received tax refunds totaling ₹2,660 Lakhs.
