HCLTech Invests ₹1,427 Cr in AI Firm Sarvam AI

HCL Technologies Ltd. has announced a significant investment of INR 1,427.25 crores in Axonwise Private Limited, operating as Sarvam AI. This minority investment will fund Sarvam AI's research and development of next-generation AI models for agentic AI, coding, and cybersecurity. The investment aims to enhance HCLTech's ability to develop industry-specific AI solutions for its global clients, leverage Sarvam's multilingual AI capabilities, and accelerate the adoption of sovereign AI solutions. Sarvam AI, an Indian AI company focused on building full-stack sovereign AI, reported a turnover of INR 45.10 crores in FY 2026. HCLTech will acquire a 10.46% stake in Sarvam AI.
