HDFC Bank MD & CEO Sashidhar Jagdishan to retire Oct 2026

HDFC Bank announced that its Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Sashidhar Jagdishan, has decided not to seek re-appointment. The Board of Directors has accepted his decision, and he will retire upon the close of business hours on October 26, 2026. The Board expressed appreciation for his leadership and contributions, particularly during the recent merger. They have also decided to expedite the process of selecting and appointing his successor.
