
HFCL Emerges as Lowest Bidder for BharatNet Phase III Project with ~₹8,100 Crores Bids
HFCL, in a consortium with Rail Vikas Nigam Limited and Aerial Telecom Solutions Private Limited, has been declared as the lowest bidder for bids valued at ~₹6,925 Crores to provide a middle-mile network in Uttar Pradesh (East) and Uttar Pradesh (West) under the BharatNet Phase III programme of the Government of India. HFCL has also emerged as the top bidder for the Punjab circle for a bid value of ~₹1,244 Crores on a standalone basis. The consortium will receive an additional O&M order of ~₹4,155 Crores, and HFCL will get an additional O&M order of ~₹746 Crores in Punjab circle. The BharatNet Project aims to extend high-speed broadband connectivity to rural areas across India, with BharatNet Phase III focusing on bringing high-speed fiber-optic networks to currently unconnected gram panchayats.
