HFCL Ltd to Set Up Preform Manufacturing Facility Through Subsidiary, HFCL Technologies

HFCL Ltd has approved the setting up of a Preform Manufacturing Facility through its wholly owned subsidiary, HFCL Technologies Private Limited. This initiative aims to achieve higher level of backward integration within its Optical Fiber Cable (OFC) business, secure access to a critical raw material, reduce dependence on external suppliers, and enhance cost efficiency. The proposed facility will have an estimated investment of ₹580 crore and is expected to be completed by July 2029. The investment is aligned with HFCL’s long-term strategy to optimize cost structures, improve margins, and support ongoing and future capacity expansion.
