Hi-Tech Pipes Limited, a leading Indian steel tube and pipe manufacturer, has announced the commencement of commercial production at its new Greenfield manufacturing facility in Kathua, J&K. The facility has an installed capacity of 80,000 tonnes per annum (MTPA) and is designed to manufacture ERW steel pipes and value-added steel products. Strategically located in Jammu, the Kathua unit offers logistical and operational advantages, enabling efficient and cost-effective supply to customers across the northern region. The commissioning of this Greenfield plant aligns with the company's strategic focus on increasing the share of value-added products in its overall sales mix, with an emphasis on coated and specialized steel offerings. The newly commissioned capacity is expected to contribute significantly to volume growth and profitability from mid of Q4FY26 onwards.
