Hikal Bengaluru API Facility Gets Swissmedic GMP Certification

Hikal Limited announced that its active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) facility in Bengaluru has received a Certificate of GMP Compliance from Swissmedic, the Swiss Agency for Therapeutic Products. This certification confirms the facility meets the Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements of the Mutual Recognition Agreement between the European Union and Switzerland. This recognition follows successful inspections by Brazil's ANVISA and Japan's PMDA, reinforcing the site's global regulatory standing and expanding Hikal's access to European and other regulated markets. The company aims to diversify its pharmaceutical business's geographic footprint and build resilience against geopolitical and trade uncertainties.
