Hirect Secures Maiden ₹60 Cr MEMU Trainset Order

Hirect Limited (formerly Hind Rectifiers Ltd) has secured its first order for Mainline Electric Multiple Unit (MEMU) trainsets from MCF, valued at approximately ₹60 crore. This development order involves supplying complete Propulsion Systems, including Traction Transformers, Traction Motors, and TCMS, for 4 MEMU trainsets. The project is slated for execution over 24 months and marks Hirect's strategic shift from component manufacturing to integrated railway systems. This milestone is expected to enhance the company's credentials for larger system-level opportunities in the expanding trainset ecosystem, leveraging its in-house R&D capabilities.
