HAL Records Revenue of Rs. 30,400 Crores in FY2024-25 Despite Supply Chain Woes

Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) reported a revenue of Rs. 30,400 crores for the financial year ended on March 31, 2025. This was a slight increase from the revenue of Rs. 30,381 crores in the previous year. The company managed to maintain its top line despite the shortfall in deliveries of Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) and Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) due to non-availability of engines and an accident in January 2025. HAL added capacities by setting up additional lines for LCA and HTT-40, and augmenting aero engine capacity at Koraput. The order book stood at Rs. 1,84,000 crores as against the opening order book position of Rs. 94,129 crores. The company received new manufacturing contracts of Rs. 1,02,000 crores and ROH contracts of Rs. 17,500 crores. HAL signed a contract with MoD for supply of 156 LCH Prachand worth Rs. 62,777 crores. The company also achieved the prestigious 'Maharatna' status and signed contracts for supply of additional 12 Su-30 MKI aircraft, Mid Life Upgrade (MLU) of 40 Do-228 aircraft, supply of 240 AL31FP engines of Su-30 MKI aircraft and avionics upgrade of one IL-78 aircraft.
